Catbus puzzle update

So, wondering how the puzzle came out?

Of course it was the first present she opened. She ripped off the paper, opened the box, looked in for about three seconds, got a look on her face like “eh, blocks” and tossed it aside in favor of another present. Once mommy put the puzzle together and she could see what it was she was a little more interested.

Here’s a picture of my mom putting the puzzle together so you can see the 5/8ths inch plywood I was working with. It was so thick, when I went around corners the saw blade not only bent through the wood horizontally with the cut but also bent vertically up and down.

This was mainly because I didn’t have a vise (I found out later my wife borrowed it; no wonder I couldn’t find it) so I was sitting on the board on a padded office chair… yeah. The only thing that kept me going was the thought of “at least this isn’t 5/8ths inch plywood”, only to find out when I was done that I can’t estimate worth a damn.
