Mr. Engler would be proud

So, with one thing and another I haven’t been able to get out and go Christmas shopping for my 2 year old until this evening — don’t get me wrong, she’s got lots of presents from family and from mommy and daddy, but I was going to get her a daddy present. Silly me for thinking stores would be open later than 7:00 on Christmas eve. I thought we were in a recession and retailers were begging for our money!

Anyway, I got home and drew a pretty picture on some plywood and started cutting it up with a coping saw to make a puzzle. All I gotta say is DAMN I wish I had thinner plywood. I’ve been cutting this thing for almost an hour and I’m not even half done.

Also I think I need a new blade on the saw.

(Mr. Engler was the shop teacher at my High School.)

cost management. the stores decided that not that many people were waiting until christmas eve night to shop and those people who did probably aren’t big spenders. I for one can’t imagine you buying enough to cover and hour’s cost for whatever store you shopped at :P

You know, it’s funny, it’s like I was leading a pack of people around the city. As I tried one store, I’d leave the parking lot, and as I did, a Jeep would be entering the parking lot, followed by a mini-van. I went on to the next store, and hey! sure enough, there’s the jeep and the mini-van again.
